WINNERS OF FIRST EDITION OF BILBAO INTERNATIONAL ART&FASHION

The members of the Jury, met in Carlton Hotel, on May 28th 2008, have decided to give the prize to TATIANA POGREBNYAK (Category A, outfits), and MIETAL ZANO&YAEL SERFATI (Category B, complements).

Both prizes, worth 8.000 Euros, will be presented by Bilbao Town Hall  and La Caixa, next June 23rd at Guggenheim Museum.

The aim of the contest is to show that Art may appear as a source of inspiration for Fashion. The work of Tatiana Pogrebnyak is inspired by Art Decó and pre-colombine mesoamerican art; the work of Mietal Zano&Yael Serfati is based on the sculptures of the XV century cathedral´s roofs. All the members of the Jury have pointed out the high quality of all the works presented.
